Job Description

BrainBox AI utilizes self-adapted artificial intelligence technology to proactively optimize the energy consumption of one of the largest climate change contributors: Buildings.

Our AI engine supports a self-operating building that requires no human intervention. Using deep learning, cloud-based computing, and our proprietary process, our solution autonomously optimizes existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control systems for maximum impact on energy consumption.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement backend microservices with Python
  • Ensure timely delivery of features and products
  • Build features utilizing modern techniques, architectures, and open-source tools
  • Write scalable, resilient, and secure code
  • Develop automated unit and feature-level tests
  • Document the development process and feature details
  • Actively participate in daily SCRUM meetings
  • Gain hands-on experience with a variety of programming languages
  • Evaluate, assess, and recommend software solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs efficiently

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with backend development in a Linux environment
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Hands-on experience developing microservices
  • Familiarity with Jira, GitLab, and Agile methodologies (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership
