Job Description
As an experienced UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing user-friendly interfaces and ensuring exceptional user experiences. This is an individual contributor role, and you will oversee the end-to-end design process, making expertise in all facets of UI/UX design essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Analyze data to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Use prototyping tools to visualize the end-user experience.
- Develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
- Design interfaces adhering to responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and user requirements into impactful designs.
- Create and maintain design systems, ensuring visual consistency across products.
- Define and uphold UI guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Provide detailed design specifications and assets for development teams.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine designs.
- Iterate designs based on testing insights and business requirements.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio demonstrating design capabilities.
- Proficiency in design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, and Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bridge design and development.
- Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Additional Experience: Knowledge of Agile/Scrum workflows and version control systems like Git is a plus.
