Key Result Areas:-
Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct primary & secondary Research on Fashion & Lifestyle trends for successful understanding of trends and range creation.
- benchmark competition brands to have a clear understanding of product handwriting & brand differentiation
- travel to fairs/markets & mills and share learning through design reports
- Call out seasonal colors/fabrics/silhouette and product innovation to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
Season Concept & Story telling
- Create seasonal concept backed by strong research and understanding of seasonal high-trends.
- Build on a story telling model to ensure commercial viability & high fashion sensibility in-line with the brand promise to the consumer
Range Presentation
- Create range in line with the seasonal concept.
- Work with Product & Product Development teams to understand costing/commercial viability of the merchandise and to ensure seamless and timely end-to-end development of your range.
- Participate in sell-thru presentations to identify key takeaways which needs to be integrated into design lines.
Tech Pack creation
- Create elaborate and quality tech packs and facilitate timely uploads on the PLM
- Ensure timely handover to sourcing & product teams in line with the business process calendar
Proto development
- Lead Quality sampling; work with product and sourcing, suppliers & mills to ensure successful proto development in actuals. This has to be done in compliance with the timelines/ deliverables.
- Approvals of strike offs, lap dibs, and other developments.
Stakeholder engagement
- Ensuring seamless interactions with both internal and external stakeholders (supplier/mills)
Self Development
- Ensure travel & visits to mills, fairs; work in the market to understand emerging trends & consumer insights.
- Take initiatives to build technical faculty and work with Function Head & other Category Heads to create innovative product lines
