The Head of Sales APAC, based in Asia – flexible among major cities most relevant to Adtran Business, will be responsible for the business in Asia-Pacific region and report to Chief Revenue Officer Organization and possibly structured as an extension of EMEA Sales Theatre.

Major Responsibilities

The responsibility covers sales strategy, revenues, margins and the budget. This will include but not limited to driving the business in close contact with Global Functions, Product Line Management and Application & Solution Management.

  • APAC sales strategy, incl. business plan and budgeting of the region.
  • Establishing key relationships with customers, partners and channels.
  • Overall revenue and margin responsibility for the region.
  • Business development and breaking open new business in the region
  • Organization and human resource planning of the region.
  • Implementing and controlling of the sales processes in the region i.e. forecasting, tracking of overdue invoices, loan planning and monthly reporting.
  • Supporting the sales input to the product line management, competitions and market analysis.

Supplementary Tasks

  • Contribute to Company Sales, Operations, Quality and Marketing procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications/Experiences Required

  • More than 15 years of experience in telecommunications sales, carrier networks, business development, channel management in APAC Region and be familiar with competitive landscape of telecom in APAC Markets.
  • Good knowledge of telecommunication networks across core, transport, aggregation, access and customer premise segments.
  • Have experiences in Optical Sales and working both direct B2B and indirect through a network of partners.
  • Excellent personal relationship with major customers and/or channels.
  • Organizational experience in leading multi-national teams, and experiences in establishing of sales & marketing strategy for a Western based company into APAC Markets
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business awareness.
  • Good English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Readiness to travel.
