Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support to employees, addressing their inquiries and issues effectively.
  • Assist with onboarding processes by helping new hires with their technical setups and providing necessary training.
  • Support technical and infrastructure needs during international events, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Manage and take ownership of support cases through email, phone, and web requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Advocate for internal customers by keeping them informed and ensuring their needs are met according to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base by documenting solutions and keeping information current.
  • Draft and disseminate technical communications to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to address urgent issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about new products and technologies to enhance your technical skills.
  • Collaborate actively with team members to share insights and improve overall service quality.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Linux, including installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of recent Ubuntu Desktop releases.
  • Proficient in using desktop tools for file editing, web browsing, internet management, and command line configuration of printers and external devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect logs and modify configuration files for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Familiarity with using Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Applications, and Single Sign-On.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Adaptable and quick learner, capable of handling customer-facing challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical field such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Electrical Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to four times a year, for internal events.
