About The Role
Reporting to the Auskick and Superkick Lead, this role is to ensure all children participating in NAB AFL half time Auskick are provided with a fantastic experience both on and off the field. Ensuring a smooth transition of entering the ground, playing at half time and enjoying the AFL and AFLW match. The safety and enjoyment of the guests is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for welcoming all guests and escorting them to their seats, set up and pack down of equipment, supervision in change rooms, activation of small-sided games during the half time break and then escorting guests back to their seats. Shifts are approximately 4hrs in duration and range from Thursday – Sunday when matches are location in Victoria. Please note successful candidates will be required to be available for 2 days each weekend for rostering purposes.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF??
Pre-match
- Meet all guests allocated to the match
- Ensure all guests are checked in to participate in half time Auskick
- Escort all guests to their designated seats
Gameday Setup
- Assist with the set-up of the change rooms ready for the half time and all relevant equipment
- Supervise change rooms
On-Field Role
- Ensure a smooth and seamless entry onto the ground
- Check on all parent helpers and monitor grid closely to ensure participants are getting an enjoyable experience
- Ensure all guests enter and exit the ground in a timely manner
Post Halftime
- Escort half time participants back to change rooms and supervise changing back out of Auskick uniform
- Escort all guests back to their seats
- Ensure all equipment is packed away

- Experience working with Children
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised and in a team environment
- Well-developed verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.?
- Confidence and ability to deliver engaging and positive outcomes.
- A willingness to work outside normal business hours during evenings and weekends.??
- All applicants will have to adhere to Safeguarding Children checks and have a valid employee Working with Children Check.
- All applicants must be aged 18+.
DESIRABLE?
- Tertiary qualifications or currently studying Sports Management, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Recreation, Education or equivalent depth of experience.?
- Established ability to bring together and coordinate a diverse range of stakeholders.?
