Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Service Manager to lead our biomedical equipment maintenance team. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, repair, and quality assurance of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimal equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Supervise and direct the biomedical equipment technicians, ensuring effective communication, training, and performance management.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and quality assurance of medical equipment, including scheduling, inventory management, and documentation.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as The Joint Commission (TJC), FDA, and OSHA, and maintain accurate records.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure medical equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage department budget, controlling costs and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance, repair, and procurement.
- Training and Education: Develop and provide training programs for biomedical equipment technicians and hospital staff on medical equipment operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
- Proficient in biomedical equipment maintenance software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
