- 7:30 AM, 3x12s, Every Other Weekend or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduleGuaranteed Hours: 36.00Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior RN experience in a Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital setting is required. Experience in managing MS/Tele patients is essential.License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact licenseCertifications:
- NIHSS- Telemetry- BLS (AHA)- CEU Contact Stroke 4 HoursMust-Have:
- 3 years of Telemetry Experience- Required certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSSJob Description:- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.- Initiate assessments based on the patient’s problems or needs using the physician’s medical diagnosis and the functional health framework.- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.- Manage care of patients.- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.- Cover required holidays and float to other inpatient units as needed.
- Participate as the first to float in the night shift float pool.- Must hold appropriate certifications and have a strong MS/Tele background.Education:
