Job Description
Develops and expands ambulatory services and initiatives in support of increased volumes and revenues from ambulatory service lines. Responsible for overall operations of outpatient services. Collaborates closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle with respect to the patient access and patient financial services in the clinics. Works in collaboration with inpatient leadership to integrate services and achieve outcomes.
- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Provides executive leadership and direction to ambulatory services with emphasis on access, patient experience, business development and oversight of financial and operational functions. Through the Ambulatory Service structure, the VP provides management oversight for the development of high quality, patient-centered, cost effective and integrated clinical programs. Leads the execution of business plans to enhance Morris Hospital’s market position.
The VP will exercise management responsibility over the Ambulatory Services ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and staff directly, or through delegation of responsibility to the Director. The VP will collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to assist with execution of the Hospital’s mission.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Master’s Degree MBA, MHA or MPH or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in a healthcare setting, at least five of those in a leadership position responsible for physician practices and integration within a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability, experience, and knowledge of managing outpatient healthcare practices, immediate care centers, and an occupational medicine service line, including billing, coding and reimbursement, management of resources, and people.
- Knowledge of accreditation and quality requirements, patient satisfaction measurements, and the ability to foster a culture of excellence.
- Ability to develop financial goals for all sites, assess profit and loss scenarios, and develop strategies to improve operations using measurable criteria and standards.
- Strong financial management skills, including ability to create and monitor operating budgets, analyze divisional staff productivity, and contribute to the long-term viability of the organization.
- Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
