Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and trainable Legal Assistant to join our team and support litigation cases. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment, working directly with an attorney and team who are committed to your success. You’ll step into a fast-paced, collaborative role, managing active litigation files while receiving tailored training to develop your skills. Never had a legal position before? No problem! What You’ll Do

As our Legal Assistant, you will provide critical support to our attorney by helping to manage active cases through the litigation process. Your role will include:


  • Litigation Support:
    • Assisting with all phases of litigation.
    • Preparing and filing cases.
    • Assisting with document production and discovery processes.
    • Scheduling depositions, mediations, and hearings.
    • Communicating professionally with clients and any stakeholders.
  • Administrative Assistance:
    • Organizing case files and maintaining accurate records in our case management system.
    • Managing deadlines and keeping the attorney informed of key case developments.
    • Managing the attorney’s calendar.

What You Need

If you have prior legal experience, great! If not, this role could be for someone who is eager to learn and trainable. Here’s what we value:

  • Skills & Mindset:
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
    • A hard-working, team-oriented personality with a willingness to learn.
  • Experience:
    • No prior litigation experience required.
    • Prior experience at a law firm or managing a personal injury case load is a bonus but not necessary—we’ll provide comprehensive, hands-on training.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a general ability to quickly learn new software.
    • Experience with case management systems like FileVine is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.
