Category Buyer

Salary: £28,000 – £33,228 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Permanent, full-time, subject to a 3-month probation period

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, eight-hour days based at our office (40 hours per week)

We are looking for a Category Buyer to join our team! As a Category Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless supply of products to support Harrier’s UK and Czech Republic operations. You’ll manage specific product categories, negotiate supplier agreements, and drive value while maintaining quality standards.

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or category management
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier relationships
• Exceptional attention to detail and experience with material planning and stock control
• A proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving
• Knowledge of procurement processes and experience working in a fast-paced environment

And You Are

• Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable liaising across multiple departments, from warehousing to brand management
• An excellent communicator with a commitment to delivering value and quality
• Adaptable, driven, and eager to learn

About The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning material requirements and ensuring just-in-time deliveries.
• Managing stock levels and forecasting demand in collaboration with Brand Management and Warehousing.
• Overseeing product deliveries and coordinating logistics.
• Evaluating and approving alternative products to meet QA standards.
• Negotiating pricing and ensuring adherence to procurement processes.
• Developing and maintaining supplier relationships while identifying new opportunities.
