- Oversee the end-to-end process of onboarding new life insurance policies, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications, policy issuance, and payments, while developing policies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Manage the underwriting team to ensure adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards, evaluate high-value or complex cases for final approvals or escalations, develop risk assessment frameworks to balance profitability and competitiveness, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Monitor underwriting and business processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, implement and review quality control processes to reduce errors and streamline workflows, and conduct audits to ensure thorough documentation of decisions and actions
- Serve as the primary contact for escalated issues, present updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as reinsurers and brokers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in life insurance new business underwriting
- Having Professional designations such as AAMAI (Asosiasi Ahli Manajemen Indonesia) or FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute).
- Strong knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk management.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
