Position Description
You will serve as Senior Project Engineer and non-supervisory Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) in the Combat Survivability Division, Systems Engineering Department, Systems Acquisition Group of Naval Air System Command-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for planning, assigning, managing, and coordinating engineering tasks for a major aviation program.
- You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation, provide authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensure engineering requirements are met.
- You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
- You will recommend revisions to operational requirements or design concepts as required.
- You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements which provide the basis for overall technical and engineering planning for the assigned system.
- You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
