Position Overview

The Franchise Sales Director will oversee the entire franchise sales function, providing strategic leadership and guidance to the franchise sales team. This role will ensure that all franchise sales efforts align with corporate goals and objectives, contributing to the overall expansion of KidStrong. The Director will focus on high-level strategy, sales growth, and operational efficiency, while mentoring the sales team and ensuring that all processes are executed in line with KidStrong’s standards and best practices. This individual must have extensive experience in franchise development, a strong business acumen, and a passion for the KidStrong brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy: Lead and implement the franchise sales strategy for the organization, setting clear goals, performance metrics, and growth targets.
  • Team Management & Development: Mentor and develop the franchise sales team, providing guidance on performance improvement, sales tactics, and industry best practices.
  • Franchise Sales Growth: Drive efforts to identify new markets, attract qualified franchise candidates, and expand KidStrong’s presence by achieving sales goals and quotas.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline franchise sales processes, ensuring a high level of efficiency in candidate evaluation, onboarding, and franchise agreement finalization.
  • Market & Industry Analysis: Monitor trends in the franchise market, ensuring KidStrong’s franchise sales approach remains competitive and adaptable to industry changes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, area developers, senior leadership, and third-party partners.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding franchise sales and the FDD, ensuring proper documentation, disclosures, and contracts are in place.
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare and manage new and existing franchisee contracts in collaboration with SVP Franchise Development
  • Franchise Broker Networks: Collaborate with franchise broker networks to keep brand placement high and listing up to date in the networks we are involved in
  • Franchise Validation: participate in validation webinars, presentations, trade shows and other events that build brand awareness and drive leads
  • Franchise Marketing: collaborate with other departments to help execute the Franchise Development marketing plan to drive quality leads and brand awareness
  • Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular sales performance reports to the SVP of Franchise Development, utilizing data to drive decisions and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in franchise development or sales leadership, including a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams toward achieving business goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of franchise sales, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage multi-channel lead generation efforts, and close complex deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Franconnect or net similar
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze data to drive sales performance.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet franchise prospects and attend industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
