The salary range for this role is $64,227 to $88,311 annually.

[Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, languages etc.]

Job Type: Full-Time Fixed-Term for 1 year (with possibility for conversion to Full-Time Regular position)

Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Washington DC

Hybrid working opportunity, 2 of days in office.

About The Job

Located in an IB global center, the HR Associate provides support to the HR team, while also having complete responsibility for its own tasks. Overall, it ensures that HR practices are delivered correctly for the region, has oversight of HR systems, is accountable for up to date HR data and supports of data privacy, awareness of analytics/dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruiting process, taking the lead on regional recruitment requests.
  • Conduct induction and onboarding activities in coordination with regional HR colleagues.
  • Supports HR team on all general HR processes as required (new hires/departures, recruitment, data maintenance, etc.)
  • Advises local staff on policy matters and provides assistance to local staff with general HR inquiries.
  • Support HR Head on regional Learning and Development delivery.
  • Ownership and accountability for maintaining up-to-date and accurate information in all staff files.

About You

  • A Bachelors Degree in HR or a related field, or a combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required to successfully perform key responsibilities for position.
  • Experience in an HR generalist and/or talent acquisition role in an international company/organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects through to completion.
  • Knowledge of local and national legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a diverse and dynamic work environment, with a willingness to embrace different perspectives and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English. Ability to work in additional languages a plus.

About The Application Process

The interview process is structured to be comprehensive and will involve two stages. The initial rounds will assess the candidate’s qualifications and fit for the role, leading up to a final interview with the Head of HR, and potentially other members of the regional HR team. Candidates should prepare thoroughly for each stage to advance in the selection process.
