About this offer The Events Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) and other segment’s group movement programmes from the moment the contract is signed, until the clients checks out and settles the bill. This person is crucial in making sure that the events he/she coordinates are stress free and successful as per events at Corinthia Standards. Every event with or without accommodation will be allocated a coordinator as their assistant from arrival through to departure, ensuring smooth and efficient coordination of their event. The Events Coordinator will be the main reference point for the hotel and the client. Key Responsibilities -Keeps abreast of newest trends and innovations in the industry -Maintains an awareness of competitor activity, developments and best practices and shares information with the team accordingly -Checks organiser guest room and meeting rooms prior to the client -Welcomes the client on their arrival and say farewell to them at their departure -Knows the clients program intimately and would go through the program with the client on their arrival to make any necessary changes -Be with the client throughout their program, constantly checking up on them at every crucial stage -Understands AV products and services to support the client immediately -Carry out exit interviews with the client -Has the technical skills to prepare event documentation -Ensures Opera Sales & Catering is always up to date with client’s information and follow up dates -Attends sales meetings and any other departmental meetings as deemed appropriate -Conducts appropriate site inspections, client entertaining (including evening and weekends entertaining, if applicable) -Ensures that all activities with clients are recorded appropriately in Opera Sales & Catering for operational excellence -Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of all aspects of the Corinthia Hotel to sell effectively and ensures that the client has accurate and adequate information to be able to confirm the business -Establishes, maintains and ensures adherence to Sales and Corinthia Hotel policies -Effectively resolves guest issues that arise from the sales process and brings issues to the attention of leadership as appropriate Manages ad-hoc projects as required in order to meet business needs -Supports the hotel operation in times of demand in order to ensure client satisfaction -Refers business opportunities from other market sectors to appropriate members of the sales team to ensure that these are actioned appropriately -Drives the Corinthia values and philosophy -Partners with the leadership team to understand the business needs and helps develop a relevant sales plan to support strategic objectives -Leads by example -Develops close relationships with designated clients

- Fluent in written and spoken English
