Key Responsibilities
- Provide both direct and indirect services to students with mild to moderate disabilities across grades K-12.
- Develop customized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate closely with parents, fellow educators, and staff to ensure optimal learning outcomes for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary.
- Foster inclusive educational environments that encourage student independence and growth.
Required Skills
- Massachusetts Special Education Teacher Licensure is mandatory.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively liaise with students, families, and team members.
- A genuine passion for teaching and making a positive impact in the lives of children with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience with students possessing disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Background in pediatrics is advantageous, though not essential.
