What You Will Do
- Develop wireless charging solutions from concept to prototypes. Added advantage if any experience into wireless power transferring products ,inductive coil design etc.
- Experience with design for EMC compliance and related EMI issue resolution
- Experience in board bring-up and prototype testing
- Experience on communication protocols like CAN,LIN ,I2C & SPI etc.
- Experience with schematic capture and layout techniques using Altium Designer or similar e-cad tools
- Strong background of design support tools, including simulation, WCCA (worst case circuit analysis), DFMEA, design reviews,
- Thorough documentation and revision control practices
- Create custom electrical/electronic designs for automotive applications
- Create/complete block diagrams, schematics, PCB layout, component selection, worst case circuit analysis, testing, and design verification
- Develop design validation plans (DVP), obtain customer approval, and initiate all laboratory, bench, and simulated product-tests in compliance with the DVP
- Support customer’s in-vehicle tests on electrical hardware systems
- Use risk reduction tools to perform simulations
- Use knowledge of material costs and costing processes to determine the impact on designs
- Design for maximum cost effectiveness while meeting all customer performance requirements
- Ensure that the product design complies with all product requirements and final customer specifications
- Interface with the intra departmental development teams such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and marketing
- Support mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality in the development and implementation of work instructions for new and ongoing products
- Interface with customers and other Molex engineering groups and suppliers
- Lead design review meetings
- Support all APQP activities, including D/ PFMEA
- Understand, support, and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelors or master’s in Engineering in the field of Electrical / Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent
5 -10 years of experience in hands on automotive electronic product design and development
