As an Office Manager/ Accounting Assistant within WiASSUR, you will occupy a crucial versatile role, combining responsibilities related to the administrative management of the office and accounting tasks. You will be the focal point for the day-to-day operation of the office and bring your accounting expertise to support the company’s financial operations.
Liability
- Reception and communication: ensure a professional reception of visitors, answer telephone calls, and manage correspondence to maintain effective communication.
- Agenda management: coordinate appointments, meetings, and travel, ensuring office efficiency and productivity.
- Office supplies: manage office supplies inventory, place orders when necessary, and ensure equipment availability.
- Event coordination: organize internal and external events, such as team meetings, seminars, and social events.
- Records management: organize and maintain the office’s administrative and financial records in an organized and confidential manner.
- Accounting entry: make the accounting entry of financial transactions, supplier invoices, and banking transactions.
- Payment Tracking: Track customer and supplier payments, ensuring deadlines are met and potential issues are resolved.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial data is accurate.
- Tax returns: prepare the necessary documents for tax returns and collaborate with the external accounting firm.
- Financial reporting: produce periodic financial reports for management, providing analysis and recommendations as required.
Formation
- Previous experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Advanced accounting skills and accounting software proficiency.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry (an asset).
- Degree in accounting, administrative management, or related field.
