Associate Manager, Logistics

Tesla is looking for an experienced program and people manager to lead our logistics activities associated with large scale, fast paced Manufacturing activities in Fremont. This position will program manage logistics requirements to support Finished Vehicle Distribution at the Fremont factory. In addition to logistics execution, there are facilities and carrier management responsibilities. Candidate must have proven track record of successfully working cross-functionally with multiple departments related to manufacturing and retail.

What You’ll Do

Identify existing systematic gaps, drive processes to close, define strategies, suppliers, and flows and define and develop finished vehicle logistics solutions that optimize speed, cost, and qualityDrive development as well as implementation of needed processes and systems to enable improved integration of the Tesla’s worldwide logistics management structureManage four teams’ day over day to ensure quality execution of on ground operationsIdentify ongoing operational process and staffing needs to support logistics operationsWork with Internal stakeholders to optimize and meet requirementsWork with other departments such as: sales, delivery, fleet, marketing, engineering to integrate logistics with business systems or processesImplement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in operations and / or supply chain related functions?Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Logistics or relevant experience and/or evidence of exceptional abilityStrong critical thinking and resolution in ambiguous situationsStrong organizational skill with the ability to manage both strategic and tactical responsibilitiesExperience with MS Office Applications, including knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Tableau a plusAbility to write, speak and present effectively and persuasively at all levels
