AFI is seeking a Capex Project Administrator to oversee capital expense projects across our portfolio. This role requires a strong background in construction project coordination, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and contractors. The position offers 100% remote flexibility but requires 50% travel to various project sites across the United States.
Job Summary
The Capex Project Administrator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating capital expense and improvement projects. This includes budget management, contractor coordination, and progress reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, permitting, and project management, along with excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with due diligence inspections for potential acquisitions and renovation projects.
- Support the planning, budgeting, and coordination of Capex projects.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including bid solicitation and review.
- Track project progress and ensure work meets quality standards and contract specifications.
- Obtain permits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets and progress reports.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project timelines and financial status.
- Assist with project close-out, ensuring all deliverables are met and approved.
- Monitor budgets to ensure cost-effective use of funds.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years in construction project management, project administration, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with construction processes, permitting, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time to project sites across the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $40,000–$60,000 (based on experience)
