Target Range:

$23 – $26

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The Closer is responsible for a cross-functional role with opportunities to work in all aspects of the closing process on a daily basis as the workload dictates to include but not limited to: generating initial and final closing disclosures, drawing docs, reviewing docs, funding loans, and other various functions

Responsible for performing a variety of loan documentation duties on moderate to complex loans, using up-to-date comprehensive knowledge and experience of current investor guidelines and government regulations is a must: TRID, RESPA, ECOA, FCRA, HMDA, MDIA, TILA, AIR (previously HVCC) and all other compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate initial and final closing disclosures
  • Draw closing documents
  • Audit loan docs for accuracy
  • Clear conditions with Processing and Underwriting Departments
  • Regulatory validation to include Flood, HMDA, TRID, RESPA, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to include cross training on funding loans

Requirements:

  • Experience in a closing department of a lender
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of RESPA and TRID guidelines
  • Capable of drawing closing documents through a third-party software (i.e. DocMagic)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail is a must, along with a keen eye for identifying problems on a loan
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong math skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to perform multiple functions throughout the day as the need arises
  • Knowledge of investor guidelines and suspense clearance for loan purchase
