The YMCA of Greater Toledo is Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan’s largest not for profit agency, serving over 65,000 members annually. The YMCA of Greater Toledo is a thriving association with 10 branches; the Fort Meigs YMCA serves the Perrysburg, OH area with great partnerships and community support. The Fort Meigs YMCA opened in 1998 and has a current operating budget of $5.5 million. The community is characterized by good people, affordable housing prices and great schools. The Association management team is seeking an individual who possess vision, strategic planning, collaboration and accountability.

As the Executive Director at the Fort Meigs YMCA, you will play a crucial role in staff supervision, ensuring that our team operates at its fullest potential while embodying our core values of caring and respect. Your expertise in fundraising will drive innovative initiatives to secure essential resources, while your commitment to volunteer and community relations will cultivate lasting partnerships that enhance our outreach. You’ll take the lead in board and volunteer development, fostering a strong network of supporters and advocates. Additionally, your financial management skills will be key as you oversee budgeting and resource allocation to guarantee the sustainability of our impactful programs.

What Matters Most
To thrive as an Executive Director at the Y, you will need a combination of essential skills and a strong background in management. We are looking for a high-energy, dedicated, and well-organized self-starter, with proven success in staff supervision, fundraising, volunteer and community relations, board and volunteer development, and financial management. A Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social services, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years in a management role overseeing multiple staff levels, is required. The ideal candidate will be responsive to change, possessing practical oral and written communication skills, and demonstrating strategic and creative thinking along with superior problem-solving abilities.
Your enthusiasm for collaboration and team dynamics is vital, as is your understanding of the community’s complexity and the importance of fostering inclusion and championing social equity initiatives in all efforts.
