Job Description
Responsibilities
- Study the mechanical model and engineering BOM (EBOM) of the spacecraft;
- Create a spacecraft assembly process flow, based on EBOM
- Prepare manufacturing BOM coherent with the EBOM;
- Analyze the product tree EBOM/MBOM and make adjustments as needed
- Plan installation process and determine prerequisites for each procedure
- Define the required installation procedures and handling procedures based on the MBOM;
- Prepare a unit installation and handling procedure (assembly specification) derived from given model;
- Accompany the spacecraft installation process as required;
- Determine and define the MGSE and special tools required for an assembly and installation process and for environmental tests;
- Identify complicated installation procedure for training the team before assembly and implementation;
- Prepare correction procedures when required by MRBs (Material Review Board);
- Work in a cleanroom environment;
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Experienced with preparation of production processes and installation procedures;
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering subject areas for the installation or test of structures and mechanisms, including engineering mechanics (statics and dynamics), mechanical systems, etc.;
- Experience in production of complex electromechanical systems;
- Experienced with hand tools operation;
- Experienced with troubleshooting in development process;
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics;
- Good working knowledge of 3D modeling tools;
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (including technical writing and presentation skills) – B2/Upper Intermediate or higher.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of making decisions based on evidence.
- Knowledge of aerospace systems is preferred
- Work collaboratively with other team members to solve engineering problems.
