Organ Referral Coordinator Are you an ICU nurse looking for something different? Join our team as an Organ Referral Coordinator and facilitate the gift of life through organ donation and transplantation! Under the supervision of the Organ Referral Manager, job duties include: Assumes responsibility for timely response to referrals and coordination with hospital, transplant center, other OPO, and DonorConnect staff in managing referrals, imports, flyouts, and miscellaneous calls. Adheres to DonorConnect and regulatory requirements. Completes case follow-up tasks, referral and import documentation, LMS trainings, time sheets, and any other requirements by designated deadlines. Responds to email, text, and phone communication in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility to be an effective and contributing team member by holding one’s self and peers accountable and supporting continuous improvement within the team and organization wide. Demonstrates collaboration and an understanding of other internal and external teams. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Training/Education/Certification: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Maintain RN license Experience Required: Minimum of one year of experience as an intensive care unit nurse. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of the organ and tissue transplant fields preferred Understanding of the critical care environment Knowledge of computer hardware and software Critical thinking, problem-solving, priority setting, and resourcefulness Excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities Solid oral and written communication skills Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Able to remotely work well with all levels of personnel in hospital settings, and within the differing guidelines of each institution Willingness to train and assist others Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing DonorConnect is a PROUD Equal Opportunity Employer who Values Diversity in Both Experience and Background!
