Agronomists (Oxnard, CA)

Conduct scientific research to improve agricultural product biological, chemical, and physical properties. Apply scientific expertise in agricultural principals to improve grower’s agricultural operations. Devise growing techniques to improve plant yield and enhance production. May perform additional duties that are similar and consistent with stated position requirements.

Required

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or closely related field plus 3 years of experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

• Executing field-based strawberry farming research projects
• Providing technical support and documentation for regulatory and third-party food safety audits
• Analyzing acreage and soil composition for strawberry ranches
• Analyzing optimum practices for each phase of strawberry production, including fertilizer management, pesticide distribution, and irrigation installation
• Analyzing land preparation techniques, including pesticide application, fumigation, leveling, and irrigation to improve the productivity and sustainability of crops

Requires Bilingual Spanish/English.

Salary Pay Scale: $91,155.00-$102,000
