We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to support the Senior Sister to lead Ward 16!
You will be required to confidently support senior staff, sharing your ideas to improve the care of patients. You will focus on engaging with colleagues and developing our service. Where nursing standards could be made even better, you will spot it. You will have high expectations and deliver a service to match. Ward 16 is a 22 bedded split ward which consist of Short stay Unit which looks after patients with a variety of medical conditions: but also has 6 rooms known as Cohort which look after patients whom have infectious diseases. Working under the emergency division we are expected to only keep patients for 72 to support patient flow on discharges. As a Staff Nurse you will be expected to have a wide knowledge base about medical conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous development of the ward and advancement in patient-centred care, as well as keen to progress in their knowledge and skills.

Education And Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Desirable criteria
- Undertaken Supervisor and Assessor training.
Experience And Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Relevant experience in past 12 – 18 months of looking after patients in a healthcare environment.
Desirable criteria
- Broad clinical knowledge base
- Previous experience within an Acute setting
- Previous NHS experience within last 12 months
