Role Overview:

The Sales Head will oversee and drive all sales activities across multiple divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The role involves setting sales targets, devising strategies, and ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability goals. Under this position, there will be dedicated Division Heads managing sales for specific business verticals:

  • Sales Division Head – Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)
  • Sales Division Head – Structural Galvanizing & Poles
  • Sales Division Head – Crash Barriers/Solar/Miscellaneous

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and proven expertise in driving sales across diverse product categories in the infrastructure sector.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Oversee all sales activities across divisions and ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
  • Provide direction and support to Sales Division Heads and the team to meet their individual sales targets.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for each division, aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and devise plans for market penetration and growth.

Target Setting:

  • Define sales targets for divisions and teams based on market analysis and business goals.
  • Monitor progress against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.

Technical and Commercial Expertise:

  • Leverage engineering knowledge to understand client requirements and propose customized solutions.
  • Provide technical presentations and ensure alignment of product offerings with customer needs.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Division Heads and their respective sales teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing sales culture across divisions.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Support Sales Division Heads in closing high-value deals and managing key accounts.

Market Analysis and Insights:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
  • Develop and manage sales budgets for each division.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve sales objectives.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments (Marketing, Business Development, Operations, Production, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of sales plans.
  • Align sales initiatives with overall business strategies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (mandatory).
  • With additional Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of progressive sales experience in infrastructure field, including leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing sales across multiple divisions or product lines, preferably in the infrastructure or manufacturing sector.
  • Experience and good knowledge in PEB, Structure Galvanizing, Crash Barriers, transformation lines, Poles.

Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Strong Personal relation with business houses.
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes, market dynamics, and customer behavior in the infrastructure industry.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales performance tools.
