Job Overview

Ward 5 is a friendly team who support patients through their journey with a variety of different surgeries and surgical related conditions.

The ward has 30 beds with a range of different needs and with a high acuity of admissions and discharges.

Due to the acute setting this will allow an opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge to support you in your role as staff nurse

Main duties of the job

Working with the multidisciplinary Team

Medication drug rounds

written Documentation

Good Communication verbal and non verbal

Caring for wounds and dressings

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

Good Communication and team work with the MDT and working with the trust objectives

Supporting patients with Activities of daily living.

Completing nursing and implementing nursing care plans.

Ensure safe administration of drug rounds

Supporting surgical care path ways for patients to minimise stay in hospital for patients

Ensure training and knowledge is up to date for best practice.
