About the Role We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Energy Policy Analyst to join our client’s team in a fully remote capacity. This role involves researching, analyzing, and influencing energy policies to support sustainable development and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy markets, legislative processes, and sustainability frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Policy Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on energy policies, regulations, and market trends at local, state, and federal levels.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on new and emerging energy legislation, analyzing its potential impact on stakeholders and businesses.
- Policy Development Support: Collaborate with internal teams to craft and advocate for policy proposals that align with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry groups, and advocacy organizations to influence policy outcomes.
- Economic Impact Studies: Analyze the economic implications of energy policies and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Report Preparation: Prepare comprehensive reports, white papers, and policy briefs to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Data Visualization: Use tools like Tableau or Power BI to present complex policy analyses in an accessible and visually compelling format.
- Advocacy Support: Assist in developing advocacy strategies and campaigns to promote favorable energy policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
- Proven experience in energy policy analysis, research, or advocacy.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and policy documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting policy briefs and presenting to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with U.S. energy policies, climate initiatives, and global sustainability trends is highly desirable.
