Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for dialysis by reviewing their medical history and ensuring comfort during the procedure.
- Monitor patients during dialysis, checking vital signs and observing for any adverse reactions.
- Assist in educating patients and their families about dialysis treatment and post-procedure care.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Set up and operate dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
- Ensure dialysis machines are functioning correctly and meet safety standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of dialysis equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with dialysis machines.
- Infection Control and Safety:
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and sterilize equipment as required.
- Follow safety standards to protect patients and staff from contamination or hazards.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, machine performance, and patient responses.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or unusual patient reactions to the appropriate team members.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
