Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care:
    • Prepare patients for dialysis by reviewing their medical history and ensuring comfort during the procedure.
    • Monitor patients during dialysis, checking vital signs and observing for any adverse reactions.
    • Assist in educating patients and their families about dialysis treatment and post-procedure care.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
    • Set up and operate dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
    • Ensure dialysis machines are functioning correctly and meet safety standards.
    • Perform regular maintenance and calibration of dialysis equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with dialysis machines.
  • Infection Control and Safety:
    • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and sterilize equipment as required.
    • Follow safety standards to protect patients and staff from contamination or hazards.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of treatments, machine performance, and patient responses.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or unusual patient reactions to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Work closely with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
