Compensation: $121,000 – $130,000
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Manager to support their Midwest Region operations based in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for supervising and directing survey technical staff, overseeing land survey projects, and ensuring successful project execution. The Survey Manager will handle project quality, budget, scheduling, and client relationships, all while implementing QA/QC practices and upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise survey teams and provide direction to technical staff on survey deliverables and document preparation.
- Oversee the success of projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to budget, and timely completion.
- Build and maintain client relationships while leading survey team efforts to meet schedules, client requests, and production targets.
- Coordinate and manage outside survey subcontractors to enhance project outcomes.
- Develop project fees, write proposals, and review deliverables to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company safety regulations and procedures.
- Regularly communicate with team members and operations managers to keep projects on schedule and exceed client expectations.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Some college coursework completed.
- Experience Level: Mid-senior, with at least 5 years of project management experience, particularly in land surveying.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and land surveying.
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Registered in Indiana); flexibility to work outside of Indiana is preferred.
- Experience leading survey crews and managing survey projects.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong organizational, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to solve complex problems and multi-task within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
