For National License Compact (NLC) states, meet home state licensure requirements.**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS**Must-Have:** Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association**Job Description:**- Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer’s health or situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.- Develop a plan prescribing strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with legal or policy parameters.- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.- Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting.- Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking.- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.- Contribute to quality nursing practice.- Evaluate one’s own and others’ nursing practices in relation to professional standards, guidelines, statutes, and regulations.- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.- Practice ethically.- Promote shared governance and facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes.- Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds. Must have intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity, critical thinking, and concentration ability are required.
