Role Description

We are seeking a diligent Financial Accountant to join our finance department. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be assigned the responsibility of delivering the monthly management accounts and it offers the successful candidate an opportunity to take up a dynamic role offering exposure across the entire finance function. This role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail and an appetite to contribute to towards an ethos of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments/accruals/etc).
• Assist in the annual budgetary process and cashflow/forecast preparation.
• Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Provide support to the wider finance team (AR/AP/Payroll) when required.
• Partnering with departments across the business; providing financial analysis and delivering insights that support the strategic objectives of the company.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with industry experience.
• Ability to work on their own initiative with a focus on process and system improvement.
• Proficient in ERP/accounting software – SAP an advantage.
• Skilled in MS Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.
