Job Summary

This position provides support to Mortgage Bankers which includes administrative and support to ensure regulatory/compliance and program standards are met. Will assist in gathering and verifying approval stipulations such as verifying income, assets, credit, and other conditions as deemed necessary by underwriting. Also includes the timely and accurate data entry of the inhouse applications and review of complete applications for secondary market loans. Assistants are also responsible for customer service, loan request preparation and follow up.

  • As an integral part of the sales support team, will work with Lenders, borrowers, and other 3rd party vendors
  • Provides a variety of administrative, operational and customer service assistance for the real estate department
  • Delivers excellent customer service at all times. Helps facilitate loan processes from initiation through closing

For secondary market

  • Follow up with customers and obtain all necessary information for loan submission
  • Upload required documentation and file accordingly
  • Assist with Pre-Qualification pipeline management for Mortgage Bankers
  • Maintain contact with all parties to transaction
  • Assist with ordering 3rd party requests

Other Functions

For In-House portfolio:

  • Facilitate from application to loan closing. This may include ordering appraisal, title, and other pre-processing items.
  • When applicable, compile internal evaluation requirements.
  • Monitor maturing loan reports; prepares documents for renewal and ensures documents are current, requests information, tracks real estate taxes.
  • Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and on-line training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and six or more months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of all loan types, including Conventional, FHA, USDA RD, VA and Bond.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and hard working. Must be able to handle multiple functions simultaneously and function in a high-pressure environment
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Take ownership of assigned duties
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Working in a team environment with problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Encompass is a plus
