Senior Accountant

The Accounting team at Message Broadcast is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. The Sr. Accountant will work closely and collaborate with the team including billing, monthly closing, expenses, payables, banking, and general accounting support. This is a great growth opportunity to join a well-supported team, and partner with a variety of cross-functional teams.

• This is a hybrid role and you will come into the beautiful office in downtown Denver 3 days a week and work virtually 2 days a week.
• Salary range: Up to $110K annually

What you’ll do:

• Assist with month-end close processes and own responsibilities, such as billing support and processing, preparation of journal entries, intercompany entries, account reconciliation with supporting schedules, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, etc.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to prior periods and budgeted figures.
• Oversee and streamline processes related to specialized revenue streams, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.?
• Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Draft and maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes, including policy and procedure documents, working cross-functionally to complete.?
• Support and manage special projects related to ad-hoc accounting initiatives.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, improve internal controls, seek new initiatives, and display the willingness to take on special projects both individually and as part of a team.
• Other tasks are based on team and business needs.

Qualifications?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 – 5 years of experience in an accounting role; technology company environment preferred.
• Knowledge of finance principles, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel; pivot tables, lookups, etc.
• Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software or other enterprise accounting software. NetSuite is preferred.
