Your New Role…

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, have a keen eye for detail, and possess the ability to engage and grow our online community. This role will support the Social Strategy Manager in executing social media campaigns specifically focused on the launch and promotion of CNN’s direct-to-consumer products.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies to promote CNN’s direct-to-consumer products across various platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other social platforms.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives, with a focus on driving awareness and subscriptions for CNN’s direct-to-consumer offerings.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, growth, PR, and editorial, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize campaigns and drive product engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and trends, particularly those relevant to direct-to-consumer marketing.
  • Support the Social Strategy Manager in managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets aimed at promoting CNN’s direct-to-consumer products.
  • Respond to community inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner, focusing on customer engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in social media management or a related role, preferably within a marketing team with a focus on direct-to-consumer products.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $53,620.00 – $99,580.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
