About The Role
This role will join a team of 8, working closely with the Senior Events Manager to deliver exceptional event activity. Managing a direct report, and nurturing and guiding wider team members.
Our team works from brief to execution, guiding brands, and internal Harrods stakeholders on their concept through planning to execution. Our team brief wider departments & suppliers and hold the responsibility and care for all event elements, giving consideration and reassurance to our partner that their activity will be executed to the level and detail expected at Harrods.
This position underscores our commitment to creating leading luxury event experiences for our target customers across the UK, Middle East & China.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Senior Event Manager on implementing the Harrods Event Strategy and supporting wider Business Campaigns alongside Marketing, Partnerships & Press.
- Managing a direct report and nurturing the wider team members.
- Supporting on the Harrods Event budget and tracking POs and spend with more junior members of the team.
- Using creativity along with commercial awareness to identify and trial new opportunities, actively monitoring the market for best-in-class activations to take inspiration from.
- Working with Brands on the execution of activation plans. Being the expert on all things production, AV, Council Planning, VM.
- Being on site in our Knightsbridge office a minimum of 3 days a week and when required on site at event locations out of contracted hours (with time given back).
- Support on site at International and Regional events if required.
About You
you will be…
- An engaged manager within Events, with a proven track record of delivering successful Events.
- Confident in managing large budgets up to £1M.
- A problem solver who is adept and confident in making decisions under pressure.
- Collaborative and strives working within a team.
- Highly functional operations manager, identifying problems before they occur and ensuring relevant logistics are in place to problem solve.
- A highly professional individual with excellent communication & presentation skills.
