Our Marketing and Loyalty team is the strategic force behind United’s industry-leading brand and experience, supporting revenue growth by turning customers into lifelong United flyers. Our marketing communications, market research and brand teams drive travelers’ familiarity and engagement with the United brand. Our product, design and service teams bring the signature United brand to life in our clubs and onboard our aircraft, ensuring a seamless, premier experience. Our loyalty team manages United MileagePlus®, building travel and lifestyle partnerships that customers can engage with every day, and works with our Star Alliance partners to ensure United can take you anywhere you want to go.

The Associate Analyst is responsible for the development and delivery of United Airlines corporate communications and MileagePlus Program communications to MileagePlus members. This position works collaboratively with internal partners and MileagePlus teams to deliver targeted, relevant communications that are consistent with our brand and overall corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (email, direct mail, digital)
  • Project manage assigned campaigns from beginning to end, ensuring production schedules and approval processes are met
  • Develop the overall audience and messaging strategy
  • Assist in the development of creative and production support teams and use work flow tools to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery within budgets
  • Meet with external partners to understand their marketing needs and expectations
  • Work closely with outside vendors and agencies
  • Ensure all member communications are integrated and consistent across channels and that they adhere to the United and MileagePlus brand, and the overall corporate strategy
  • Ensure campaigns are effectively targeted to deliver highly relevant offers to customer groups and manage audience overlap from various promotions
  • Effectively and appropriately communicate program status, results and campaign performance to the Marketing team and stakeholders on a frequent and consistent basis

NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50% of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.

What’s Needed To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years direct marketing experience across email, direct mail and/or digital channels with working knowledge of other marketing channels
  • Strong analytic, organization, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Proficient in conveying information through both verbal and written means
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Airline or travel industry experience
  • Marketing agency experience and/or experience working with marketing agencies/print vendors/email service providers, etc.
  • Experience with campaign management software
  • Experience in lifecycle marketing or CRM (Customer Relationship Marketing)
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (primarily Email Studio and Intelligence Reporting)

The base pay range for this role is $52,725.00 to $71,830.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
