Job Objective

Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients on all matters pertaining to the COO Office and serves as a liaison to the Shareholders, Corporate Directors, and senior management teams. Utilizes a broad understanding of the shipping industry, and its relation to the strategies and objectives of BSM to help execute the organization’s operational goals. Provides the required support in assigned projects, including project planning and coordination. Supports the BSM Management Board, when required.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Conducts research, prepares statistical reports, handles information requests, uses problem solving abilities and awareness of Group strategies and customer needs to provide the COO office with information relevant to achieving their targets and objectives.
  • Performs clerical functions to ensure that the COO office can focus on tasks that service key operational priorities for the organization.
  • Lead operational projects and support the COO’s work and ensures that operational information is communicated and received in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner, by coordinating with all offices and departments.
  • Participates in strategic initiatives and projects, developing ideas, and acting as coordinator between various offices and departments.
  • Identifying and setting business requirements for BI tools, dashboards and other.
  • Works closely with the COO and wider team to deliver on operations strategy and other tasks.
  • Supports the BSM Management Board, including coordination of Annual General Meetings and management team meetings.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business Management / equivalent.
  • Work Experience
  • 2 years of relevant work experience involving management support (preferred but not mandatory).

Job Specific skills

  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to cooperate with colleagues in a multinational and interdisciplinary environment
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • PC literacy
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); BI & Python would be considered as an advantage.
