Description
With general supervision, provide routine administrative support to department.
Essential Functions
Create and edit correspondence, presentations, and reports from rough drafts to completion ensuring accuracy of spelling, grammar, etc.
Screen telephone calls and route to the appropriate department/person
Open, review, and distribute mail throughout the department to ensure mail is received by the addressee
Maintain department’s records/files to ensure accurate record keeping, security, and confidentiality of files
Maintain calendar(s), schedule meetings and appointments, and arrange travel and hotel accommodations as necessary to ensure
effective time management
Perform confidential administrative functions such as assembling reports or proposals for staff, customers, or outside agencies
Maintain and order the department’s office supplies, forms, brochures, and/or advertising/sales materials
Requirements
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
One to two years of administrative experience with at least one year providing Administrative support
Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Word
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of desktop publishing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to type, proofread, revise, and edit up to 75% of the time
Monitor and track expenses within budget guidelines
The compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. Salary Description
$17 – $20
