Job Overview

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in a remote capacity for a school district in Kentucky. This position offers flexible working hours, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of visually impaired students from the comfort of your home, with up to 10 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in a virtual learning environment.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure a seamless educational experience.
  • Utilize online platforms to engage students and present lessons in an interactive and supportive manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with families and school staff regarding student progress and objectives.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency with virtual learning technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent independent working capabilities and effective time management skills in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • A valid Kentucky Teaching License with TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification.
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in teaching students with visual impairments.

Compensation And Benefits
