Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Collect and validate employee time and attendance data.
  • Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Review and verify accuracy of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding and reporting.

Payroll Reconciliation and Reporting:

  • Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and deductions summaries.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Compliance and Record Keeping:

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and employment tax laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and security in handling sensitive employee information.

Communication and Support:

  • Collaborate with Client’s HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Assist clients with payroll inquiries, including pay discrepancies, deductions, and tax-related matters.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
  • Work closely with the payroll team to implement new systems or tools to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, HR, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, employment tax laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software or HRIS (Human Resources Information System), understanding Talenta is a plus.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or other spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
