Although not required for success in this role, we highly value bilingual skills in English and Spanish, along with public speaking and presentation experience.

Hiring Salary Is Dependent Upon Experience.

The hiring range is $67,962.42 – $75,513.80 / Annually

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree and t wo years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources environment. An equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.


Knowledge of:

  • Full cycle recruiting processes
  • H uman R esources methods and best practices
  • Federal , state, and local laws and regulations governing employers and employees
  • E qual Employment Opportunity regulations, Equal Pay Act , and Americans with Disability laws , and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • O perations, functions, and scope of authority of all City departments
  • H uman R esources and employment law terminology
  • D atabase reporting tools

Skill in:

  • S pelling, grammar, punctuation, and proper word usage
  • Utilizing a pplicant tracking system s
  • N avigating multiple decision makers and adapting recruitments to meet various hiring manager needs
  • Applying p roblem-solving and critical thinking to modernize hiring processes

Ability to:

  • Ensure fair hiring practices and candidate recommendations for hire
  • L earn and apply new skills that promote excellent performance
  • Use independent judgment and discretion to perform tasks in routine and non-routine situations and use emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive situations
  • Maintain high level of professionalism and teamwork in the absence of supervision
  • S peak before various audiences both in-person and in a hybrid/virtual environment with poise, voice control , and confidence
  • P repare documents conforming to regulatory standards
  • W ork independently without specific instruction and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • C ommunicate clearly and concisely in person, over the phone, and in writing with individuals of varying social, cultural, economic, professional , and educational backgrounds
