About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Data Center Field Systems Engineer to join our team and support our operations across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. This role will be pivotal in delivering world-class services to our clients, ensuring the efficient installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, customer-focused, and willing to travel within the region to provide hands-on support in a variety of data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Configuration: Lead and execute the installation, setup, and configuration of server, networking, storage equipment, and infrastructure in Armada data centers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry best practices.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide on-site support for diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine preventive maintenance, firmware and software updates, and hardware upgrades to ensure optimal performance of data center equipment.
- Customer Interaction and Requirements: Work closely with customers to understand and gather their technical requirements, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction with services rendered.
- Sales Support: Although this role sits within the engineering team, the daily activities will be aligned with the sales needs within the region. There are two primary functions: First, support the pre-sales infrastructure, hardware, and deployments requirements for sales-qualified customers, and second, execute on the logistics for post-sales deployments.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure seamless execution of projects and resolve issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, service reports, and troubleshooting activities. Ensure all changes are documented according to company and client standards.
- Compliance and Standards: Adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and data center operational best practices, including health & safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Remote Troubleshooting: In addition to on-site support, assist with remote troubleshooting and diagnosis for clients across the region.
- Regional Travel: Travel extensively within the Middle East & Africa region to customer sites as needed to perform installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking hardware, and virtualization technologies. Familiarity with data center management tools is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience working in data center environments, with a focus on system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Pre-Sales Customer Experience: 3-5 years working with customers on technical/logistical requirements gathering in the field. We are specifically looking for experience helping the customer define their requirements.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical issues in simple terms to clients.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to the varying demands of customers across diverse regions.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is required, French, or other regional languages is a plus.
- Certifications: We welcome all certifications, such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, Server+; or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Dell, HPE, IBM) as well as network certifications with the likes of Juniper, etc.

The Pay Range For This Role Is
280,000 – 460,000 AED per year(Dubai/Remote)
