Job Description
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead the production team, providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement production strategies, plans, and schedules in alignment with company objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all production-related matters.
- Production Planning & Execution:
- Oversee the development and implementation of production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet demand and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and manage any deviations or disruptions.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure that all production activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement and maintain quality control processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production capabilities.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate supply of materials and components for production.
- Implement and maintain robust supply chain management practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, testing, and certification teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability.
- Provide input during the design phase to identify potential production challenges and solutions.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure seamless production operations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the production team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience in production management, with a focus on aerospace manufacturing or similar industries.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading production operations and driving process improvements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
