Job Description

Our ambition is to build on our leading initiatives and revolutionise the way we work together. That’s why we’re embarking on a programme of unprecedented transformation that will see cutting-edge digital solutions integrated across all our sites and services. This is an opportunity to develop your skills at the forefront of advances in healthcare management.

You’ll work in one of the most progressive and innovative Informatics departments in the NHS, backed by significant multi-million pound investment. From introducing enterprise-wide Electronic Patient Records (EPR) to data warehousing and business intelligence that support the decision-making of clinical and operational staff, we’re using technology to increase organisational efficiency and improve patient health outcomes.

In this hands-on, senior technical role, you’ll help deliver efficient, responsive and effective support services. By keeping our IT operating at peak performance, you’ll contribute high-quality patient care across MFT’s various sites. A key point of contact for hardware and software issues, you can expect to have practical involvement in tracking and resolving queries, incidents, problems and requests relating to both equipment and applications.

You’ll bring experience of working in a customer-facing IT infrastructure support role. This will have included providing first-, second- and third-line support with the PC client environment. You’ll also need knowledge of local area networks and wide area networks, server support and email systems. Proven experience in the management and use of service desk systems and call distribution systems is also important. You’ll thrive under pressure and be ready to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours shifts.
