This Financial Controller position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team within the Accounting & Finance department of a large retail organisation based in Stoke. The role requires excellent financial acumen, leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. Our client is a large-scale global electronics company based in Newcastle. They are a leading force in the retail industry, employing over 2000 dedicated professionals across various departments.

Description

• Oversee month end, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, audit process and external personnel.
• Contribute to financial strategy and decision-making process, budget analysis and inter-departmental support.
• Provide timely and accurate financial statements, analyse reports and provide recommendations.
• Ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place and optimised.
• Responsible for credit management and developing forecasting models.
• Collaborate with management on development and execution of funding strategies.
• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities.

Profile

A Successful Financial Controller Should Have

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience as a FC in a pan-European structure.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting and planning.
• Strong IT and people-management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Up to £70,00 salary, dependent on experience.
