Job Summary
The position involves a senior role reporting to the Group Leader, focusing on the finance operations for the Group in North America and supporting its expanding portfolio. The successful candidate will be an active member of the senior management team, providing strategic advice and assisting in the development of plans aligned with the organization’s growth objectives. This role includes collaborating with North American management teams to strategize on business expansion, working closely with the Portfolio M&A team on due diligence and post-acquisition processes, and overseeing quarterly forecasts for each business unit, ensuring their accuracy in collaboration with Business Unit Leaders and Finance teams.
Job Description
The Position
Reporting to the Group Leader, this senior role will be responsible for the Group’s North-America finance operations and support our growing portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Active member of senior management team providing advice and supporting the leadership team in the creation of strategic plans in line with our growth aspirations
- Work with senior management teams of the North American teams to formulate plans to grow the existing businesses.
- Work with the Portfolio M&A team on due diligence, post close integration and acquisition onboarding.
- Oversee and review the quarterly forecasting for each individual business unit and working with the Business Unit Leader and Business Unit Finance teams to ensure accuracy
- Ensure that all financial practices adhere to both local GAAP and Group policies.
- Management of working capital balances.
- Attract, retain, and develop a Finance structure that meets the goals of the region.
- Provide or coordinate contract/legal support with customers and vendors.
- Foster a collaborative environment while soliciting feedback from internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with Volaris operating group as required.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banker and other parties as directed.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
Knowledge & Skills
We are looking for an experienced Finance professional with high integrity and energy, who is driven and self-motivated to succeed and deliver for the business. You will have a high level of attention to detail, will be highly analytical, have excellent communication skills and able to work with stakeholders across the company.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years’ plus experience in an accounting role including experience leading a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills, comfortable interacting with and motivating people at all levels.
- Ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning and the presentation of appropriate solutions.
- Organized and able to work under pressure with experience of working to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated starter, able to instigate and manage change.
- Excellent technical skills (GAAP and IFRS).
- A high level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Highly computer literate.
- Experienced in commercial negotiations.
- Experience and knowledge in the acquisition and integration of other businesses would be desirable.
- Broad knowledge of software and information technology markets an advantage.
Role Requirements
- The role will be based from home
- The job holder will be required to travel 25-50% to our existing offices, to meet with potential new acquisition targets or to be on site with newly acquired businesses.
- Part of a global company, the job holder may be required to work unsocial hours to meet periodic contractual and departmental demands.
